English Literature
Many 11+ and Entrance Exams feature comprehension strongly in their format, and a knowledge of some of the Classics of English literature must be encouraged. To this end Heathcote Tutors has assembled a set of talking books, in MP3 format, featuring some of the books used in previous Essex 11+ exams.
The collection features extracts from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Far from the Madding Crowd & Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, Silas Marner & The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot, and Tobermory by H.H Munro.
